PAYING TRIBUTE TOOUR
HERITAGE
The name Flor de Oro, or Golden Flower, is a reference to the vibrant marigold flower that inspires the product. Our label features an Ofrenda to honor our founder, Cirilo, with “Oro” being in reverence to his last name, Oropeza. Here, we see our rooster Ramon, honoring our beloved founder after his passing in 2020.
The celebration of Día de Los Muertos includes the creation of an altar with offerings that include photos of past loved ones, candles, bottles of tequila, food, sugar skulls, and the Cempasuchil, otherwise known as the Marigold flower. According to Mexican belief, marigolds guide spirits back to earth to reunite with family members.
